Ornament # 3

Here is what that thread & material turned into. I call this one Holiday Warmth. It was stitched on 14 ct. white aida that I dyed using a tea bag. Measures 4 in. x 4 in. If you want the pattern, you know the drill. Leave me a comment stating that you want the pattern & make sure I have your e-mail address :o) Until then, keep on stitching!

New Ornament

I have a new ornament in the works. Finished the pattern & kitted up the stuff that I needed to make the 3rd finish for Christmas 2009. Hopefully, all the materials you now see will turn into something cute. Guess we'll see in a couple of days. Until then, keep on stitching :o)

From her hair bows to her fuzzy bunny slippers I had a ball designing & stitching this ornament up. She measures 51/4 in. tall by 3 in. wide. Think I've gotten caught up on reading all of your wonderful blogs. Until next time, keep on stitching :o)

Trick or Treat

Finally got around to designing & stitching this one up. Sewn on 28 ct. Monaco 2 over 2 & measures 3 1/2 x 9 in.

Sad Week

In my last post I had hoped to have a new design stitched up & ready to show you but as you know that did not happen. My dad died last Tuesday, Aug. 4th. It's been a sad week for me but he was a wonderful Christian man so I know he's in Heaven having the time of his new life...

New Design

Just thought I'd drop a line to let you all know that I'm working on a new cross stitched ornament. So if you've stopped by & wondered what's going on, hopefully, if all goes well, the new ornie will be ready in a day or so. Keep checking back :o) Until then - keep on stitching.

Ornament #1 for 2009

I got tired of sewing my bigger projects so I decided to sew up a little ormament. This is one of the Dimensions Christmas Sayings Ornaments with a flare of Tammy. I used a different hanger & decided to use some beads & silver metallic thread on the snowflake. I like the way these type of ornaments look on the tree but I absolutely hate finishing these little buggers.

Higher Education

My parents really needed a laugh a few days ago & my brother's little dog Pookie came thru for them. My nephew gets on the bus at my parents house you see & Pookie followed him. When the bus ran & my nephew went to get on so did Pookie & REFUSED to get off. :o) My brother had to get on that bus & physically remove him. It was hilarious. Here's a pic of Pookie


I've been busy making birdhouses to use as thank you gifts for our upcoming VBS volunteers. I guess this is around the 10th year we've been directors of this thing & I've made on average around 20 birdhouses per year. I've gotten 16 finished so far this year with 4 more to go.


I've done a bit of stitching the past few days but not enough to fool with taking a pic of so until next time - keep on stitching :o)
