Been a while since I've posted. Thought I'd do a drive-by and show you what I've been up to. Still working on QS Grumpy Red Fairy. A Friend Loveth

How many of you thought I had fallen off the face of the earth? I got caught up in the holidays and neglected my poor blog but I did manage to get some stitching in. Finished this little pic that I call "A Friend Loveth." I do not own this clipart just turned into cross stitch for my own personal use using Pattern Maker. It's sewn on 14ct. tea stained aida using 37 colors of DMC floss. Been working on QS Grumpy Red Fairy. Will have a progress pic of it very soon. Until next time, keep on stitching :-)

IHSW November Update

Hello hermiters! How'd your weekend go? Looking forward to checking out your blogs. I got some stitching in. Luckily, finished up Joan Elliott's Angel #3. Hopefully, will have the 4th one ready this week. While everyone else is out shopping on Black Friday, I'm decorating :-)  What do you gals do on Black Friday? Until next time, keep on stitching.

JE Christmas Angel #2

Here is the 2nd angel in the Joan Elliott Christmas angel group. The picture just don't do these little angels justice. The colors are so bright and the stars and metallic threads are so shiny. I'm so pleased with them. Hoping they'll make a great little addition to my Christmas tree. I had a question a couple of posts back from someone and they asked if I had a separate tree for my cross stitch decorations. I thought it was a cool question so I'm now asking you guys. Have a special tree just for your cross stitch ornaments?

Happy Halloween

Here's my Zoe all dressed up as a witch for Halloween. She doesn't like the hat at all but loves the dress. I just hope she keeps it on long enough for the trick or treaters to see her.

Been doing a bit of stitching while watching Halloween movies. I absolutely LOVE Beetlejuice. Have to watch it every Halloween. Do you have a favorite Halloween movie that you must watch every year?

Speaking of stitching here's a couple updates that I've been working on and will continue working on next week. First up is the Snowman wip. He now has a hat and ear muffs so at least I know his head is keeping warm :-)

JE Christmas Angel Finish

I want to start off by saying thank you for all of the comments I got on the last post. I love hearing from my followers so much. Makes my day :) Welcome to all the new followers.

Okay on to the important stuff and we all know what that is - cross stitch. Am I right ladies?? I finished the little Christmas Angel and here she is.  Wish you could see how sparkly she is but my digital camera isn't the best.

1 Finish + 2 New Starts

Hi everyone. Hope you've had a great weekend. I got to stitch, so mine was awesome. Started a couple of new projects. This one is an image that I converted to cross stitch using my Pattern Maker. See the starting of a snowman?

Next up is a Christmas angel from my super duper Joan Elliott ultimate cross stitch book. There are 4 of these cuties and I'm hoping that I'll get all 4 finished in time to go on the tree.

Last but not least, here's the finished September Cherished Teddy Roly Poly designed by Gloria & Pat. Sooo glad to be finished with it so I could move on to my winter stitching projects.

IHSW Update

Hi gang and a great big welcome to all my new followers. Hope you all had a great IHSW. Looking forward to visiting all of your blogs to check out the progress on your wip's. Unfortunately, due to a rheumatoid flare-up in my stitching hand, I didn't get my Fall project finished but I did manage to get a bit more of him done. Hopefully will have him finished and displayed in a couple of days. So feel free to check back then.

I've also been busy with these. Anyone know what they are? If you guessed turnip and mustard greens, you are correct. I couldn't help but have a giggle while I was looking and washing these, adding the country ham to a big pot for supper, thinking how truly southern I am. We can turn anything pretty much into a meal. Fixing a pot of pinto beans and some baked chicken too. Hungry? It does sound like a Cracker Barrel menu, eh? :)

Breast Fund Bookmarks

These bookmarks are going to the Pumpkin Patch & Co Breast Fund and will be in the mail tomorrow to the kind folks at the Attic Needlework. Here's hoping they'll have another very successful year. Drop In For A Bite

Here's a Halloween quick finish. Very fun stitch :) Been working on another fall project and even started a winter project. Thanks to all the plp that wished me well for the surgery I had last month.
