Stupidity In It's Finest Form

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna see some of my family on the tv show America's Dumbest Criminals. I went to a family dinner and thought everything was going well until my niece was asked by her aunt about her blog to which she replied "which one?" Evidentally she had been sneaking out of the house, drinking & messing around with boys and perhaps even a girl and then writing & posting the pics about it on her blog. How stupid is that?? Her Bebo blog was the one that my sister in law was referring to - she didn't even know about the more provocative one that I found when I got home because of her "which one" reply that let me know she had more than one. Who knows how many more she has. All this and she's only 15 yo. Oy!

Problemas del gato

Who would have thought that a little kitty cat could cause such headaches.... Yeah, I've been feeding a stray cat & now the neighbor is accusing me of owning a cat and not taking responsibility for it. Guess the old saying "no good deed goes unpunished" is in full effect here. She says her husband has seen it kill her chickens. I've never known a cat to kill a chicken especially not one of this little guys stature but anywho why would she blame me for it?? If he's eating as many chickens as she claims and he manages to stay as tiny as he is, then that's it - I'm going on an all chicken diet. Looks like I'm gonna have to be the one to take the reigns again & try to keep peace. Will find him a home, not that it's my place but because I choose to be a problem solver instead of a problem maker. Adios pequeno gato.

It's official - looks like baby Patty is gonna make it. She was born on February 19, 2006 the coldest day of the year. Poor little thing's ears were frozen for the first 2 days of her life but look how's she thriving now. Mom Betsy is very protective of her new little bundle.

First Love Quilts Finish

I finally finished this Stoney Creek - Freightliner Tractor for a little boy named Ethan over at Love Quilts. I started it in October 2005 and finished it today. My husband often joked that the little boy I was sewing it for would be grown before I got it done :-)

What in the name of Sam Hill???

I'm sitting here cold & bored and thought why not post in this blog thingy before they cancel my account. I still have the movie I watched last night on my mind - The Exorcism of Emily Rose. The commercials looked tempting so I thought why not give it a go. Am I the only one that thinks that priest was crazy for telling Emily to go off of her medication? I mean, when she apparently wasn't getting better wouldn't it dawn on a person to say hey, wait, maybe she does need those meds. While I do believe in demons, I don't think they can just move right in while you're fighting them off. Come on - that priest should have known that. Did he forget the verse in the Bible from the book of James chapter 4 verse 7 which says : "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."? Or did he think God meant that for everyone except for Emily Rose. Sheesh, the things some plp will do. I wouldn't be shocked to hear about some plp burning witches at the stake again. Think I need to stick with Spongebob Squarepants at least he makes more sense.

Couldn't let Santa "bear" Christmas alone....

I finally got the winter bear finished and just in time too as Christmas will be here in 4 more days. I don't know why I have to get in a Christmas mood in order to stitch ornaments but that's how my fingers work. Oh well, at least my flying Santa won't have to *bear* the burden of decorating my tree alone.

Well, since my first attempt at posting in this blog thingy didn't go so well I thought I would give it another go & try to post a picture of my last finished project "Flying Santa." And as luck would have it, I have tried and it didn't work. What is wrong with me today?? So now I'm sitting here trying to edit this post and figure out what in the world I'm doing wrong. I'm gonna get it or bust. Funny thing is, I've been on the phone with (direcway- piece of crap) tech support all morning telling them how I could have fixed my surfing problem within the 15 days they've had to try to fix my problem and I can't even get this stupid picture uploaded. With fingers crossed, I'm gonna give it another go. Think I've finally got it.
